An analysis of the interior design project that transformed a former banking space into a refined fashion stage, showcasing materials and light.
The new Anteprima in Matera is not just a boutique, but a work of interior architecture designed to create a striking and sophisticated contrast. The design project has maintained a dialogue with the history of the original building, a former 1970s banking institution, reinterpreting the spaces with contemporary materials and a clever use of light.
The result is an environment that exudes discreet luxury, far from excessive ostentation, focusing on the quality of the details: stone floors, minimal walls that highlight the merchandise, and dedicated areas such as the underground vault, transformed into a unique exhibition space.
The boutique acts as a catalyst between Matera's rugged, historic identity and the refined elegance of the international brands it houses, offering visitors an innovative visual and tactile experience.

Preview is a journey into the city itself: each floor narrates a different dimension of Matera, starting from the rarefaction of light on the surface and reaching the underground depths, before ascending to more defined and, in a certain sense, metaphysical spaces. Natural light enters like a gateway opening onto the Sassi. The materials engage with the local geology, though not always clearly, while the archetypal forms reference the stratification that has accumulated over the centuries. It's a story that moves between the concrete and a more symbolic, perhaps even slightly personal, vision.
